Liverpool Science Park was founded back in 2005 by Liverpool City Council, Liverpool John Moores University and the University of Liverpool who realised the importance of creating a purpose-built science park that would bring together the exceptional minds and expertise which might not meet elsewhere.

Far from being shareholders, however, LSP’s status as a not for profit company means that every penny generated is reinvested into the Science Park and improving our facilities.

Fifteen years on, our progressive links with each institute, as well as our peers within the Knowledge Quarter, have strengthened and our companies are reaping the benefits of collaboration with the resident departments, access to specialist equipment, library services and sports centres.

“The growth of the Knowledge Quarter is central to the Liverpool City Region’s vision to create a thriving economy with world-class knowledge; where University expertise collides with private sector innovation. Liverpool Science Park is at the heart of this but also an important home to LJMU’s own Astrophysics Research Institute. A place where it connects and thrives.”
