Centre for Educational Leadership
Centre for Educational Leadership (CEL), Liverpool. CEL Liverpool is a professional leadership development centre offering a range of national leadership training programmes in the Merseyside region. It is one of three regional centres of the Centre for Educational Leadership at The University of Manchester.As a professional development centre, CEL's mission is to become an international centre of excellence in leadership development and change management drawing on the research, innovation, learning technologies and scholarship of a major university to improve the quality of public services. As a research-led organisation, CEL conducts research into leadership development and the impact of learning interventions on individual and organisational performance.
CEL is known regionally, nationally and internationally for the quality of its development activities and its high client satisfaction levels. Whilst its roots are in education, CEL is now expanding into other areas of the public sector.
CEL Liverpool specialises in the Early Headship Provision (EHP) and New Visions programmes which it delivers on behalf of the National College for School Leadership (NCSL). It is also one of nine Training and Development Agency (TDA) regional centres in the country.
