University invites SMEs and researchers to come face to face in a bid to access major European collaborations and funding opportunities.

Against a backdrop of declining investment in UK small businesses, the University of Liverpool is paving the way for those seeking essential funding to meet face to face with national contact officers of the European Union's FP7 funding programme for high value research, and a fund manager for the North West Fund.
This event provides a unique opportunity to:
• get early information about the forthcoming FP7 funding
• calls due to be opened in July 2011
• discuss project ideas
• find the best way of developing potentially successful
• partnerships and proposals
The FP7 budget for the two forthcoming calls for: (a) Health and; (b) Food, Fisheries, Agriculture and Biotechnology - is estimated to be worth more than €800 million. In addition the budget for the North West Fund stands at £184.8million, of which £25 million is focussed on the biomedical field.
