SOFTWARE company Angel Solutions has carried out an "Extreme
Makeover" on its website - by redesigning it in a day.
The company's whole team spent its annual "away day" on the
project, starting work at 10am and seeing the website go live 12
hours later.
The basic structure of the site was developed beforehand, but
everything else was written and designed on the day at Angel's
Liverpool Science Park office.
Angel's chairman and founder, Andy Kent, said the high-octane event
was an alternative to more typical away-days - and also helped the
company meet one of its long-term targets.
He said: "Every year for probably the past five years, one of our
New Year goals has been to create an up-to-date Angel
website.
"We were determined we would do it this year - so we thought we
would use the skills we had across our team to build a website in a
day."
Mr Kent likened the process to reality show Extreme Makeover: Home
Edition, where a team of designers, led by Ty Pennington, rebuild
the homes of families who have suffered hardship.
