Law firm Hill Dickinson and digital agency Mando Group have joined forces to invest in the creation of a student leadership project at the North Liverpool Academy.

The secondary school was created through the merger of Anfield Community Comprehensive School and Breckfield Community Comprehensive School five years ago. It is now one of the UK's top ten most improved schools.

Hill Dickinson and Mando are now working together to develop an international social enterprise aspect to NLA's Student Leadership Academy. The project will nurture the leadership skills of young people by developing enterprise capabilities, self-awareness and interpersonal skills.

As well as a financial investment, both companies plan to invest time and expertise to help build the confidence and employability of the students.

Matt Johnson, chief executive of Mando, said: "We may be small but we are passionate about seeing the opportunities of others increased by the small contributions we make, we have some incredible talent within our company and each and everyone one of us would like to reach out to help those less fortunate than ourselves."

Andrew Rushworth, HR director at Hill Dickinson, added: "The partnership with Mando Group works perfectly as we feel that we have varied yet complementary skills that we can offer to the students, as well as assisting them financially."
