Delta has been operating since 1973 and has offices in Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester. It specialises in organising travel for academic, commercial and public sector organisations. The terms of the deal with Key Travel have not been revealed.
Key Travel said that Delta has established links with several universities such as Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester, as well as working with schools and colleges.
Key Travel CEO Steve Summers said: "We are looking forward to welcoming the well-regarded Delta team and their customers to the enlarged Key Travel family. Delta Travel's highly-trained staff and excellent client relations will be a great asset and will extend our reach within the academic market and enhance our overall value proposition."
Vera Philippou, director of Delta Travel, added: "There is a natural synergy between the two companies and we are very excited about this move.
"It will allow us to enhance our offering to our customers, who will benefit from a broader range of great value fares and value-added services while receiving the same high standard of service they are accustomed to."
